Note: Only users with Administrative privileges can access call reports.

Sonar can generate quarterly NMLS call reports for you, to save you time and calculations.

Prerequisites for reporting loans

In order for a loan to appear on the call report, it must have the following:

  • Application Date - needs to set (can be in any quarter)

  • Final Action Date - needs to be in the quarter you're looking to generate the report for

  • Loan Status = needs to be Closed

Accessing Reports

To access call reports, first go to Settings (the gear icon), then Reports.

Generating Reports

If it's your first time here, click the Generate button. You will be prompted for the year and quarter to preview.

From here, you can preview the generated call report.

Note: The call report preview is read-only and cannot be edited.

To filter the preview by state, select a state from the dropdown under the year and quarter.

Downloading Reports

To get back to the list of generated call reports, click on the Reports link above the year and quarter, or click on Reports on the sidebar.

From here, you can preview any generated reports as well as download the full NMLS report. You can also preview reports with the View button, and generate additional reports.

The downloaded report from this page will contain data for all states, with one Excel tab per state. To download a report for one specific state, click on the desired report to expand it, then download using the RMLA MLO button.

Filed Reports Toggle

You can also mark off which report(s) have been filed using the Filed Report toggle.

Note: This toggle is meant to keep track of filing, it will not file the report for you and must be toggled manually.

Filing Your Reports

Once you have your report downloaded, you can head over to the NMLS website to file the call report. For more information on how to file a call report with the NMLS, see the following video.
