How to create and manage branches and users associated to a branch

This article will outline sonar capabilities around branches

Creating a Branch

To create a branch, you must email Sonar to configure this on the backend. If you wish to enable this feature please email: [email protected] with the following information:

  • Branch Name

  • NMLS ID

  • Address

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Website

  • Other trade names

  • States your branch is licensed in & license number


Viewing Branches

Companies that have at least 1 branch, will be able to view these branches through the Settings tab.

For modifications to a branch, please reach out to [email protected]


Assigning a user to a branch

All users by default will be assigned to the default branch (your company). If you wish to change the branch the user is assigned to you can go to Manager Users and update the user.

  • Originators + Originating LOAs can only be assigned to 1 branch

  • All other roles can be assigned to many users

  • Within the users page the branch can be viewed


FAQ

  • Q: Can you modify the branch on a given loan?

    • A: From the transaction tab, a Branch can be modified. Admins are the only permissions that can make the change.

  • Q: Can a branch have custom branding?

    • A: No, at this time a branch will inherit the many companies branding/logo

  • Q: Can you generate a call report on a per Branch basis?

    • A: Yes! Call reports will be generated on a per NMLS basis. If two branches share the same NMLS ID, we will generate only 1 report

  • Q: If an LO moves to a new branch, what happens with their loans?

    • A: Loans will always stay with the original branch, if the loans need to move with the LO, an Admin will have to manually move them.
