Connecting Credit Providers

How to set up your credit providers to order credit within Sonar

Sonar supports direct integration with over 25 credit providers to automate soft and hard credit pulls within your loan origination workflow.

Company vs. Personal Connections

When adding a credit integration in Sonar, you can choose who it’s available to:

🔹 Company-Level Connection

  • Shared across your entire team

  • Recommended for most setups

  • Managed by an admin or company owner

🔹 Personal (User-Level) Connection

  • Only visible and usable by you

  • Useful if your company uses different credentials per user

  • Especially common for Credit, Pricing, and AUS connections


Set Up and Activate a Credit Provider

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Click Add Integration

  3. Select Integration Type:

    • Hard Credit

    • Soft Credit

    If you're using the same provider for both types, add it twice—once for each.

  4. Choose your credit provider

  5. Enter your provider credentials (details below)

  6. Decided if you want to share company-wide

    1. For company connections, Admins can choose to make the connection available to the company or only for admins. In this example, the connection is shared

  7. Choose your credit bureau(s) (at least one required)

  8. Click Test to verify the connection

  9. Click Save once the test is successful

  10. Use the Active Integration toggle to make this your default provider

    • Only one active soft and one active hard provider is allowed per access level

    • Switching the toggle automatically deactivates the previously active integration

    • For the connection to be used, the connection should say "Active Integration"


🧾 Required Credentials by Provider

Equifax

To set up Equifax as a credit provider, you will need the following information:

  • Account - Equifax account user name for your soft credit

  • Password - Equifax password for your soft credit

Informative Research

To set up Informative Research as a credit provider, you will need the following information:

  • Client ID - Client ID number

  • User ID - IR account user name

  • Password - IR account password

  • Fannie Mae Password (optional)

    • To find your company fannie mae password go to IR > Settings page
