Yes - you can choose whether or not Borrowers can trigger a soft credit pull within the POS or not.
When soft pulls in the POS are turned on:
Borrowers can continue the process more independently
Borrowers can make an initial product selection
Borrowers can generate a pre-approval letter
When soft pulls in the POS are turned off:
Borrowers still enter their SSN
It is up to the Loan Officer when soft credit is pulled
Borrowers must wait for the LO to pull credit to continue their application process
