Sonar allows you to import loans into the System, if you decide you want to bring over your existing or current loans we've outlined the steps to do so below!

Importing a Loan/Lead into Sonar

To import a new loan, click the "+" button in the top right-hand corner. You'll be then prompted to drop a 3.4 file and Continue.

When importing a loan, you have the option to select an originator, processor, and the status of the loan. Once you make the selections, click "Complete Import".

Once the import is complete - you will have the option to be taken to the loan or you can import another file

FAQ's

  1. Can I make updates to my loan after it's been imported?

    1. Yes! You can make updates to a loan that is not in a terminal status.

  2. What do the different loan statuses mean?

    1. From a high level, we recommend selecting Lead if the import contains a not complete file, "Active" - when the file has triggered TRID and you are actively working on it.

  3. My loan has a product with a lender already selected, will that be imported in my mismo file?

    1. Yes, your product information will be included in your mismo file and brought into Sonar.

  4. If there are errors importing my file, how will I know?

    1. If Sonar is unable to import data from the file, within the loan you can navigate to the Audit Trail which would show you the respective errors.

  5. Will my borrowers be receiving emails from Sonar as soon as their files are imported?

    1. No! Sonar will never just send an email to your clients.

    2. If you are working on an active file and you want to invite your borrower to complete their application in the POS, you can do so by navigating to the Borrower Tab and click "Invite [Borrower Name]", this will trigger an email to be sent to the borrower.

  6. Can Sonar import files that have 2 borrower pairs?

    1. Currently, Sonar is not able to support a loan with more than 1 borrower pair - we are actively working on adding this feature.

    2. Sonar will import the first two borrowers and exclude any additional borrowers from the import.

  7. Is there a way for sonar to import documents for each loan file?

    1. Right now, there is no automatic way to bring in your loan docs when importing your loan files. You can upload your documents manually once the loan is imported.
