Preview and Send Borrower Emails

Overview

Before sending certain borrower emails at the loan level, you can preview them to ensure everything looks correct. Not all emails can be previewed before sending. But don't worry, you can always view what was sent in the Communication Log.

Important: The emails you can preview before or after they're sent are loan-level communications only. You won't see or be able to preview borrower account emails (like password resets or referrals) or internal team communications.


Emails that can be previewed before being sent

For these emails, you have full visibility into the email content, recipients, and subject line before they go out:

  • Condition Reminders

  • Pre-Approval Letters

  • Milestone Emails

  • Invite Primary Borrower

Emails that cannot be previewed before being sent

Not all emails can be previewed before they go out. The following emails can only be viewed once they're sent:

  • Loan Status Changes

  • Rate Lock Confirmations


How to preview an email before sending

When you're ready to send any of the preview-enabled emails, you'll see a dialog with three options:

  1. Preview Email – See the full email content before it goes out

  2. Send – Send the email immediately without previewing

  3. ​Cancel – Return without taking action

If you choose Preview Email, you'll see a window showing the complete email content: subject line, message body, and any personalized details.

  • When you are ready to send the email after previewing, click Send

  • If you decide to cancel, simply click Cancel and the email will not be sent out

Note for Milestone Emails: Clicking Cancel from either the initial dialog or the email preview will not send the email and will not set the milestone as sent.


Key notes & tips

  • What if I click Cancel?

    • The email won't send. You can come back and preview it again anytime.

  • Can I edit the email in the preview?

    • No, the preview is view-only; you are not able to preview these templates at this time.

  • Why don't the buttons and links work in the preview?

    • For security, all buttons and links are disabled in previews. You're seeing the content only, not the interactive version.

  • Can I save a draft to send later?

    • Not right now. The preview is for immediate review and sending. If you cancel, just trigger the preview again when you're ready.

  • Can I preview emails that were already sent?

    • Yes! Go to the Communication Log in your Audit Trail and click View next to any sent email. You'll see the email content, but without the Send/Cancel buttons. See this article

    • You will not be able to preview any emails sent before the 4.0.9 release.
