Automatic Emails

Learn what emails are sent automatically by Sonar to the customer and to your team

Sonar sends out emails automatically when certain conditions are met. Some emails are sent internally to the loan team, while others are sent to the borrower.

This article outlines which emails are sent to the internal team and which can be sent to the borrower.


Internal Emails

Lead Emails

When a new lead is created Sonar sends the following email, this email will be triggered each time there is a status change.

  • The email will be sent to the LO and the authorized representative

New Document

When a customer uploads a document to satisfy a loan condition, Sonar sends the following email:

Rate Lock Requested

When a borrower requests a rate lock, Sonar sends the following email to the loan team members.


Customer Facing Emails

Referral

The following email is sent when an LO sends a referral

Loan Completion

The following email is sent when a loan application is created for a borrower, and the LO clicks "Invite Primary Borrower" within the LOS

  • What triggers this email:

  • If the primary borrower does not have an account created - they will first be prompted to create an account - which will prompt them to accept consent.

Loan Conditions

The Loan Conditions email is triggered automatically every time a new condition is added to the list.

This can be configured to turn off. If you do not wish to have your borrowers receive this notification automatically contact [email protected].

The following email is sent when clicking 'Send Conditions Reminder' within the Actions menu or on the summary tab

Rate Lock

The following email is sent when a rate lock is requested by the borrower

Pre-Approval

The following email is sent when the borrower is pre-approved:

  • This email will be triggered when the borrower completes the pre-approval flow within the POS or when the pre-approval letter is generated inside the LOS & the LO

  • Included in the email is the attached PDF with the pre-approval letter.

  • To generate & send a pre-approval letter in the LOS:

    • then click `Send to Primary Borrower`

Submitted POS Application

The following email is sent when the borrower submits their application through the POS


Milestone change emails

An email can be sent out to the borrower upon the milestone change!

Loan Status Changes

An email is sent to the borrower if the loan changes status to Adverse, Withdrawn, or Approved Not Accepted. The status reason is selected by the LO when they change the status of the loan.

These automatic notices can be turned off if you do not want to have them sent - just contact [email protected] and we can turn them off for you

Incomplete

  • When the loan status is transitioned to "Incomplete" the borrower will receive this email and the attached document

    • An incomplete warning letter will be sent after 15 days of zero activity on the loan

    • An incomplete notice will be sent after 30 days of zero activity on the loan

Withdrawn

  • When the loan status is transitioned to "Withdrawn" the borrower will receive this email and the attached document

Approved Not Accepted

  • When the loan status is transitioned to "Withdrawn" the borrower will receive this email and the attached document
