Inviting and Managing Borrowers on a Loan

How to invite each borrower on a loan to the POS, resend invitations, see who has submitted, and preview the emails each borrower receives.

Every borrower on a loan can have their own POS login. From the loan, you can invite each one, resend invitations, and see where each borrower stands.

Before you start

  • You need edit access to the loan. Invitations can't be sent with view-only access or from an archived loan.

Inviting Borrowers

To invite a co-borrower to the application from the LOS, click Invite Borrower within Loan Actions

Managing each borrower

On the Borrower tab, each borrower card shows their status.

  • Invited shows when the last invitation was sent, or Not invited.

  • Send Invitation to [name] or Resend Invitation to [name], at the bottom of the card, emails that borrower only.

  • Shares Data With Pair shows whether a pair can see each other's information. Change it with Turn on or Turn off on the pair's primary card. Turning it on doesn't let the primary fill in the co-borrower's application.

  • The co-borrower card menu has Verify Email, Disable Account and Delete Borrower.

Note: A primary borrower can complete a co-borrower's application only if they used Add co-borrower myself in the POS, and they chose a joint application, and agreed to share information. All other co-borrowers complete their own application.

Seeing who has submitted

Application Submitted shows when each borrower submitted their application, and Submitted Via shows whether it came through the POS or the LOS. These rows don't appear for non-titled spouses, guarantors or trustees.

Emails to each borrower

Condition reminders go to each borrower separately. Each email lists that borrower's own outstanding conditions plus loan-level ones. Milestone emails can work the same way, depending on your company's settings.

To check the emails first, click Send Conditions Reminder, then Preview Email. Use Preview for: to switch between borrowers, then click Send all.

FAQs

What happens if the loan application was created before October 8th 2026, can my borrowers still take advantage of not sharing the same link to upload documents?

  • Yes, if your app was started before this release, you will still be able to invite the co-borrowers to the loan - they won't be able to re-submit an application but they can upload their documents.

Why can't the primary borrower fill in their co-borrower's application?

  • They can only fill it in for a co-borrower they added in the POS with Add co-borrower myself, on a joint application, after answering Yes to sharing. Everyone else completes their own.

Why isn't a borrower in the invite list?

  • Businesses and trusts can't log in to the POS. Invite the person who acts for them, such as a guarantor or trustee.
