🚀NEW FEATURES

Multiple borrowers can now access the Sonar POS and complete their own application. Every borrower can get their own login, their own application steps and their own progress, so co-borrowers no longer rely on the primary borrower to enter everything for them.

In the POS (borrowers):

  • The primary borrower can add or invite co-borrowers up until TRID is triggered:

    • Add co-borrower myself: the primary borrower enters their joint co-borrower's information. That co-borrower can still log in and complete their own information.

    • Invite co-borrower: sends an email directly to the co-borrower so they can complete their own application.

  • Each borrower gives their own consents and credit authorization. Credit is never pulled without that borrower's own authorization, and the credit consent document names that borrower.

  • New submission logic for multiple borrowers:

    • Each borrower submits their own part of the application. Once submitted, their information is locked while the other borrowers continue.

    • Once the last borrower submits, the whole application is locked from further borrower edits.

    • The application is officially submitted, and the Application Date and TRID date are set, when the last borrower submits in the POS or when the loan officer enters the six TRID items in the LOS, whichever happens first.

  • Borrower privacy is built in:

    • Joint applicants choose whether to share their information.

    • Borrowers only see information they're allowed to see.

    • For jointly owned assets or properties, the other owner's name stays hidden unless they're sharing.

  • Borrowers can now see their role on the loan. Role tags on the My Loans card show each borrower's role: Co-borrower, Co-signer, Guarantor, Trustee or Non-titled Spouse.

    • Only the primary borrower can delete the loan.

In the LOS (loan officers):

  • Invite and manage every borrower on the loan:

    • Invite Borrower lets you pick which borrowers to invite

    • Contact cards now show each borrower's role, and View Primary Contact is now View Contact with a borrower picker.

  • Invite co-borrowers to applications already in progress:

    • When a co-borrower is added to an existing application, you can send an application link to all borrowers.

    • If a co-borrower's information has already been collected, they go straight to uploading their own documents in their own portal.

  • The Borrowers tab shows each borrower's:

    • Invited date

    • Submission date and method of submission

    • Whether joint applicants are sharing information. You can change the sharing setting from the LOS.

  • Share documents and assign conditions per borrower:

    • Share to POS now lets you choose all borrowers or only specific borrowers for each document.

    • System documents such as the Loan Estimate, disclosures, letters and worksheets stay visible to every borrower.

    • Conditions are assigned to a specific borrower or to the whole loan. Per-person conditions from templates, such as paystubs, bank statements, ID and VOE, are assigned to the right borrower automatically.

  • Borrower emails now reach every borrower on the loan:

    • Milestone emails, loan notices and condition reminders go to every borrower.

    • Condition reminders list only that borrower's conditions plus loan-level conditions, and personal information only goes to borrowers allowed to see it.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a removed licensed state still showing in Company Settings > State Licenses after reload.

  • Fixed emoji showing as "?" in milestone email subjects and bodies.

  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the Contacts grid did not load.

  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the app could fail to load after login.

  • Fixed the loan snapshot (as-of) view showing borrowers' current account details instead of their details at that point in time.

  • Fixed a loan team role label showing a system code instead of a readable name.

  • Fixed the delete confirmation for findings saying "loan condition".

  • For AI and API customers:

    • Fixed document highlights pointing to the wrong text on the page.

    • Fixed the foreclosure/judgment and alimony/child support declaration answers not saving through the API.

    • REO ownership percentage through the API now uses the same 0–1 scale as the rest of Sonar (send 1 for 100%).

    • Deleting a document now also removes its saved calculations and highlight references.

    • Clarified that saving document calculations replaces all existing calculations.

    • Deleting a loan fee through the API now only affects fees on the loan you specify.
